Able Player One

AbleGamers Player One engages and educates people with the knowledge and skills needed to get back to gaming and the rich experiences of joining a community of millions of players worldwide. The Able Player One team consists of our Adaptive Gaming Specialists — including players with disabilities and professionals — who get to know the player with disabilities, understand their needs, and work toward individualized solutions that allow the person to start playing.

AbleGamers’ Able Player One program was designed to explore challenges and barriers to play with the end goal of providing individualized solutions. Peer counselors spend as much time as necessary figuring out the right gaming setup — an extremely time-consuming process. These sessions serve as the starting point for granting the hardware, custom controllers, and specialized equipment that can otherwise be prohibitively expensive.
